How Chilius handles order, account, support, newsletter and analytics data.
Last updated: May 20, 2026
What we collect
When you place an order or create an account, Chilius processes the details needed to run the shop: name, email, delivery address, billing details, order contents, payment status, fulfillment status and support messages.
Newsletter signup is separate from checkout. We store the email address, consent time, source and unsubscribe state only when you explicitly subscribe.
Analytics data is collected only if you accept analytics cookies. Until then, Google Analytics is not loaded by the storefront.
How we use it
Order and account data is used to process payment, prepare and deliver orders, handle returns or support requests, prevent abuse, and keep legally required business records.
Newsletter data is used only for Chilius product updates. We do not treat orders, accounts or transactional emails as newsletter consent.
Analytics data helps us understand which pages work, which products people view, and whether the storefront is usable. It is not used for personalized advertising at launch.
Service providers
Chilius uses Medusa for commerce, Stripe for payment processing, transactional email providers for order-related messages, deployment infrastructure for hosting, and Google Analytics if analytics consent is granted.
Payment card details are handled by Stripe. Chilius does not store full card numbers.
Retention and rights
Order records are retained for tax, accounting, fraud prevention and customer support needs. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them, subject to records we must keep for legal reasons.
You can ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal data by contacting Chilius through the contact page. Some records cannot be deleted immediately when they are required for legal, accounting or dispute handling.
Chilius uses essential cookies for cart, checkout and account flows. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics to understand storefront usage. Analytics is off unless you accept.
